I LOVE the Gauntlet

I love Thursdays at bootcamp, the gauntlet is constant moving and constant muscle toning. Tonight was basically legs and boy did we work them. Prior to class starting I talked to the backup trainer (we have two) about second guessing signing up for the next session. My issue and why I am second guessing signing back up? I feel that there is way too much talking in class which is really starting to impede the workouts. The talking is from classmates and I feel the trainer really needs to step up and take control but she/they aren’t. She agreed with me and has already talked to the head trainer about this. I will as well tomorrow night and see what she says.

Don’t get me wrong, I do not want a drill sargent trainer, but I also don’t want to lose my momentum during my workouts and lose approximately 5-10min to chatting/whining which is what has been happening. So we shall see what she says.

Food was okay today, not as low as I usually like to do during the weekdays (I make up for it on the weekends) but not ‘bad’. Water was 6 cups and probably could have been 9 had I actually filled up my water bottle when I got in tonight but I didn’t.

Anyways, it is 936pm - I think I’m going to call it a night and see if I can get some sleep. I’m zonked. G’night!

Chelation

At bootcamp today, one of my classmates told us that yesterday she found out that her father has cardiovascular disease and understandably she was upset. Her and her family practice alternative medicine so she started talking about chelation therapy of which I have never heard of before so of chaturbate course I went to trusty wiki to fix that. Basically, chelation has been around since WWI when arsenic based poisonous gases were introduced into warfare. It has continuously been used for various poisonings including lead poisoning.

EDTA chelation is the kind that my survivor bootcamp classmate’s father would follow and it involves removing minerals deposits and toxic metals from the body. Although it is nnot specifically approved by the FDA for cardiovascular disease treatment it is FDA approved for the treatment of lead poisoning and other metal toxicities when used intravenously. The use of chelation for coronary hearth disease is currently being assessed by NCCAM in a five-year study.

I am really not sure about alternative medicines but from doing a bit of reading it does appear that chelation therapy works for various ailments and is currently being used albeit controversially for autism as well.

Circuit

Tonight was circuit. Normally it is lower body but the two weeks since the trainer came back from BC (where Survivor Bootcamp began) she’s added this Jasminelive workout in. We did some ball work this week and loved it, I could actually feel my obliques working and so I really want a ball now :) She is selling them for $15 so I’m getting one from her. Tomorrow is ‘The Gauntlet’ hopefully (last week is was some wicked jump rope/lower body workout) so it will be another good workout.

So food good, I didn’t each much for dinner (had 3 pepperoni sticks at 110 calories each) and that was it. I think I came in at about 1,200 calories for the day or thereabouts and I’m good with that.

I came home and had to help my father with adding a bill onto his online banking and joining facebook…so that took over an hour to do and then I began cleaning some more. I bleached/tilex’d the bathroom and then cleaned the oven. I then re-dusted and vacuumed. It is now 1211am and I’m once again zonked.

So much for getting to bed early…

Navigating the Office Lunch PotLuck

HOLY CRAP people. The amount of food in the kitchen is freakin’ unbelievable! No one has touched my store bought cupcakes and if they make me take them with me, they are going in the garbage.

So this is what I ate: 1 half ham wrap, 1 half roast beef wrap, a bit of pasta salad (half cup maybe) and one cupcake dressed up like a mummy’s head. I was looking for something to ease the sweet tooth but the icing was not at all sweet, not sure what it was made of - I think I just ate a ton of ‘edible oil product’.

Oh and the Halloween candy available here? Every live sex shows office has a treat bowl (including mine). I have been extremely good and only had two three small boxes of smarties. Considering that a full box of smarties is 210 calories - I’ve done really well. I love smarties because I can make them last forever by sucking on them one by one until the candy coating is sucked off and I’m left with the chocolate.

I can say, that it definitely helped that I ate a big (for me) breaky and was still kind of full when I ate lunch. Now I am just full up, there is no more room for anything besides the 3 cups of water sitting beside me…

It’s All About The Core

I have been so tired as of late. I just feel like I have not quit moving for weeks. Last night I got in at 9pm after running around after bootcamp to pick up some things I needed for work. The bean costume didn’t work, it felt super lame after I was done so I threw it in the garbage. Also the FWB called last night at about 915pm and we were on the phone until close to 11pm. He was the chatterbox which is unusual for him but he’s been going through something at work and I’ve been his ear about it since Friday. Last night he was relieved over something he heard and so he was gabbering away. I just let him go on and then just before 11pm he’s like - “wow, we’ve been talking for almost 2 hours, I mean I’ve been talking for almost 2 hours“.

You should see my workplace, I’d say about 80% of my coworkers are walking around in costumes from a mummy, monk, geisha, goth guy, witch (2), caterpillar, star trek dude, inmate (and he surrounded his cubicle with white streamers to portray jail bars) girl pirate, undertaker, etc. There is food galore and treats (to go trick or treating for of course) in every office, including mine. I bought mini Tootsie Roll Pops, something I really won’t eat.

So to get around eating the crap in the kitchen while at Timmy’s this morning I grabbed a toasted bagel with cream cheese and ate that while I drove into work…I’m stuffed, especially considering that I didn’t eat dinner last night until 11pm. Why so late? The phone call, I had already gotten a salad ready with dressing and didn’t want to waste it so I ate it just before bed. Had it been something heavier I wouldn’t have touched it - but it was a caesar salad, yum!

Tonight I have to get a key made for my condo to give to my real estate agent - my property management company supposedly doesn’t have one and supposedly I can actually have one made off of mine. I always thought it was one of those “do not duplicate” keys. Then while driving home from bootcamp, I have to go to the agent’s office and drop the key off. It has also taken him three days to get a key from the property management company just to have access to the condo building! I’m not impressed with that, it has been the property management company holding him up, telling him they didn’t know the procedure (their new to our building). So because of this, Bruce has not been in to take photos of my place and therefore is not yet listed on MLS…

Tonight when I get home I am bleaching the tub and cleaning the oven…I’m already tired just writing that, LOL.

Oh…yes, almost forgot, lol. Last night was core work with a 1km run prior to working our abs and backs. I never feel like I get a great workout on the ab and arms night because everyone is complaining constantly and it takes away from the time to actually work those muscles. I’m not yet sure if I’m signing up for for session 3 because of this.

Anywho…got to work, lots to do - working on September month ends for four divisions and then I get to start the year ends for the same. Toodles!

Can You Flex For Me?

I got to Bootcamp rather early (30min) and so decided to go for a 2km run walk. I ran the first 1km fully and then ran 2/3 of of the 2nd 1km. I didn’t realize how cold it was outside until I got in and started hacking up a lung in class. I was offered a cough drop, which helped a bit but I just had to wait it out. The run felt good though, so that is ah…good :)

It was arm night and boy did we work ‘em! As soon as I got home from bootcamp I then showered and headed to the FWB. He’s got some work issues right now, so I’ve been lending an ear and being a distraction *w*. He didn’t have to work today and nor did he have his daughter and so I spent the night. We both got up at 7am, he to the shower and me home. Well actually, I drove directly to my father’s, picked him up and then headed to UHaul. We picked up my pick up truck and then proceeded to take the crap off my balcony and took it to the dump. I then came home, showered and then went to work for noon.

Tonight, I need to run to the grocery store and hopefully pick up something for the potluck tomorrow and run to Walmart for poster board so I can make my lame Hallowe’en costume for work tomorrow. I’m gonna be a bean. Yes…you read that right. At my job, us accountants/finance people are know as beans (aka bean counters) so I decided to cut out two beans and wear them, front/back. I did want to find an abacus but been too busy. I was going to wear it as a necklace and spray paint it gold…it was gonna be my bean bling. But I do not think I have time for that, considering I won’t get into Hamilton until around 730pm and not many places carry abacuses anymore.

Yesterday food was good though a little too light on the calories and water came in at 6 cups. TOM started this morning so maybe I will see a small loss on Saturday :) Toodles!
